Foundations of Technology
Foundations of Technology (FOT) is an exploratory survey course, not a career-preparation program, so it carries no industry certifications or college credit. It gives ninth and tenth graders hands-on exposure to all twelve of Region 10’s programs so they can “try on” different trades before choosing a pathway — certifications and college credit require the sustained, focused instruction within a single program that students begin once they select their track in eleventh grade.
