About the Instructor

Mike Nelson serves as the Information Technology and Cyber-Security instructor and Technology Coordinator at Region 10 Technical High School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management/Computer Information Systems and has amassed over forty years of extensive experience across various facets of information technology. His professional expertise includes project management, systems analysis, programming, database development, networking, and server administration. Mike has also imparted technical instruction, contributing over 600 hours to the US Marine Corps’ Computer Sciences School.  At Region 10, Mike’s responsibilities extend beyond the classroom to overseeing the school’s technological infrastructure. He ensures the seamless integration and maintenance of modern technology across all educational programs, which supports a dynamic learning environment essential for both student and faculty success. His dual role underscores his pivotal contribution to leveraging technology in enhancing educational outcomes at Region 10.
