Bridge Academy at Region 10
A structured two-year program that adds mentorship, career support, and post-graduation scholarship opportunities on top of what Region 10 students already receive — helping students make the most of their CTE pathway and arrive at college or a career with confidence.
What Bridge Academy adds for Region 10 students
Mentorship
Structured mentorship and connection to a statewide network of Bridge Academy students and professionals.
Career exploration
World of Work Inventory (WOWI) career assessment and access to Brightspace — tools to help students plan their next steps.
Summer Academy
A required 3-day, 2-night campus immersion at Central Maine CC — students experience college life and connect with peers from across Maine.
Post-graduation funding
Access to the CSSP scholarship — up to $10,000 per year for up to six years after high school for eligible students.
Free college credits by program
All of the following concurrent enrollment credits are available free to Region 10 CTE students — no Bridge Academy enrollment required.
Financial support through Bridge Academy
Because concurrent enrollment is already free at Region 10, the financial benefit of Bridge Academy for our students is primarily what comes after high school.
The Competitive Skills Scholarship Program (CSSP), administered through the Maine Department of Labor, is available to eligible Bridge Academy graduates for up to six years — including up to $10,000 per year toward continued education or training after high school. This is need-based and has income eligibility requirements.
The Bridge Year Educational Services (BYES) Scholarship is a need-based award that can help cover any early college costs that do arise during the program years.
How to apply
Complete the online application
Includes a short introduction essay, a recommendation from a teacher or counselor, and a parent signature. Students apply during their sophomore or junior year.
Meet with your school counselor
Work with your counselor to plan your high school courses alongside your Region 10 program.
Attend Summer Academy
Required for enrollment. A 3-day, 2-night experience at Central Maine Community College in Auburn — held the week of August 3–7, 2026 for incoming juniors.
