Region 10 Technical High School’s Pre-Apprenticeship Program

Region 10 Technical High School is proud to be the first in Maine to be recognized as a registered pre-apprenticeship location. This program is designed to prepare students for seamless transition into full-time apprenticeships within the Maine Apprenticeship Program (see below for more information)

 

 Auto Tech Pre-Apprenticeship Program Benefits:

  • Work Experience Credit: Time spent in the pre-apprenticeship program counts as up to two years of work experience. This means that students graduate with a significant head start, recognized at a higher level compared to those from other programs.

What is Maine Apprenticeship Program?

The Maine Apprenticeship Program (MAP) is designed to provide individuals with high-quality, industry-driven career pathways through a combination of on-the-job training and classroom instruction. It aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, ensuring that participants gain practical skills and theoretical knowledge that are directly applicable in the workplace.

Key Benefits of Maine Apprenticeship Program:

  • Earn While You Learn: Apprentices receive paid work experience, which allows them to earn an income while acquiring valuable skills.
  • No Student Debt: Unlike traditional educational routes, apprenticeships do not incur student debt, making it a financially viable option.
  • Industry-Recognized Credentials: Upon completion, apprentices earn nationally recognized certifications that enhance their employment prospects and career advancement opportunities.
